Position Vacant - Group Leader
Our Leader in Charge, Ian Counsell is stepping down after almost 8 years of involvement so we are looking to fill his role with a new Group Leader.

Your current leaders are doing a fantastic job. They now need support of other parents to make Scouting what it really can be, for your children, in Helensburgh.

We now have a large A2 poster space on Parkes St, facing downhill toward the station, seen by hundreds of people every day - this is available to community groups at no cost* as well as local businesses for just $55 per month including poster design and printing. All money raised go towards the maintenance of the scout hall. Contact info@helensburghscouts.org.au for more info.

Mowing and Grounds

Current rostered family is: HOFFMAN
(week ending 30th NOV)

followed by HOGG.

If you are listed on the roster and cannot make it, can YOU please arrange a swap with another parent. You will need to mow the lawns around the hall, and remove weeds from the flower beds and edges. Alternatively, if you or another parent are unable to complete the mowing duties, it is ok to hire someone. Failure to assist in these duties may result in an increase of fees for all.

The aim of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities.

The 1st Helensburgh Scout Group is located at the Northern-most point of Wollongong (otherwise known as the Northern Illawarra), one hour south of Sydney, as part of the South Coast and Tablelands region, and in 2008 enjoys its 92nd successful year.

Our Group is always looking for new members and leaders. Activities include camping, hikes, canoeing, indoor rock climbing, cooking, construction and life skills as well as other fun outings.

This website has been created as a useful resource to both parents and children of the group - we welcome your input to make it functional and fun!
